Common defects and solutions of PCB punching (10)

   10. Waste plugging

 Cause

The edge of the die is too high, and too much waste material is accumulated.

The die leakage hole is too small or there is an inverted cone at the cutting edge and the hole wall is too rough.

The leakage holes on the lower backing plate and the lower die base have a difference in concentricity with the concave die holes, and the butting of the holes is in order.

The leakage holes are too large, and the waste materials are easy to pile up irregularly in the holes; when the two adjacent leakage holes are inscribed, they are also easy to block.

There is no material guide hole in the lower plate, when the waste material falls from the die hole, it can not enter the leakage hole smoothly.

Solution

Reducing the cutting edge of the die, it can reduce the amount of waste accumulation between 0.2mm.

When the die hole is less than ф0.2mm, the leakage hole is preferably made as a conical hole. When the die hole is greater than ф0.2mm, the leakage hole can be made as a straight hole, and the height of the cutting edge of the die cannot have an inverted cone.

Adjust the vertical concentricity of the leak holes on the die, lower plate and lower die base, and expand the leak holes on each part.

When two adjacent leakage holes are cut inwards, in order not to block the leakage, it should be made into a round hole or a large hole.

The support bar of the concave mold support bar and the lower mold base must have sufficient slope or leakage channel to allow the waste to leak smoothly without accumulation and blockage.
