Optical fiber current sensor is a new type of current sensor based on Faraday magneto-optic effect and using optical fiber as medium. Laser beam generates polarized light through optical fiber and polarizer. It is shot into magneto-optic crystal through self-focusing lens. Under the external magnetic field produced by current, the polarization plane rotates the angle of theta F. Through polarizer and optical fiber, the input signal detection system obtains the current value by measuring theta F.

Application of Optical Fiber Current Sensor:
Fiber optic current sensor is mainly used for current measurement in power system. In addition, it can be combined with motor manufacturer and measuring instrument manufacturer. It can also develop a series of measuring and diagnosing devices for power system, such as the calibration device for line fault point and the judging device for fault zone.
