Dangers of Voltage Transformers

Electrical equipment has certain dangers. Then, living with voltage transformers, how to ensure their own safety? Let's take a look at the common faults and dangers of voltage transformers:

(1) Three-phase voltage indication imbalance: one phase is reduced (can be zero), the other two phases are normal, the line voltage is abnormal, or accompanied by sound and light signals, which may be the high voltage or low voltage fuse of the transformer;

(2) Voltage transformer neutral point non-effective grounding system, three-phase voltage indication imbalance: one phase decreases (can be zero), the other two phases rise (reachable line voltage) or pointer swing, may be single-phase ground Fault or fundamental frequency resonance, if the three-phase voltage rises at the same time and exceeds the line voltage (the pointer can be placed to the head), it may be a frequency division or high frequency resonance;

(3) The high-voltage fuse is blown several times, which may be serious damage to the internal insulation, such as winding layer or inter-turn short circuit fault;

(4) The voltage transformer neutral point effective grounding system, when the busbar is turned on, the phase voltage rises and swings at low frequency, which is generally a series resonance phenomenon; if there is no operation, the phase voltage suddenly rises or falls abnormally. It may be the internal insulation damage of the transformer, such as the insulation bracket winding, the winding layer or the inter-turn short circuit fault;

(5) The voltage transformer neutral point effective grounding system, when the voltage transformer is put into operation, the voltmeter indicates unstable, which may be the poor grounding contact of the high voltage winding N (X) terminal.

I know the minefields of these voltage transformers. I hope that you will not touch them in the future.
