The high-speed operation capability of the new product allows customers to choose higher switching frequencies, while supporting higher efficiency SiC and GaN switching platforms. The ACS37002 series also uses differential sensing technology, which has high immunity to external magnetic fields, and can provide three surface mount options, optimized for low noise, high isolation or the lowest internal power consumption of the same kind.
Bob Briano, Product Line Manager of Allegro, said: "The introduction of the ACS37002 series of sensors eliminates the need for the industry to compromise between speed, accuracy and power density. The new product series adopts an easy-to-use surface mount package and has reached the meeting of a new performance standard."
ACS37002 is very suitable for demanding green energy industries and electric vehicles and other applications, including:
Solar inverters;
Car charger power factor correction;
DC/DC converter loop control;
Various high voltage inverters for electric vehicles.
ACS37002 has a high level of integration, after factory calibration, it can help designers reduce the system size, and speed up the time to market by shortening the design cycle. ACS37002 integrates many functions, including:
Fast over-current fault detection function can ensure system reliability;
Reference output, can maintain accuracy in high noise environment;
There are 4 pin selectable sensitivity settings in a single component, which can reduce the number of inventory parts of the design platform.
